Surroundings

In the direct vicinity of the house there are 2 restaurants, 2 pousadas and 2 Beach accesses. The village of Imbassai offers you numerous excellent small restaurants, small scale (ecological) pousadas, a few supermarkets, a pharmacy, medical clinic and a police post. In 10 min by (moto) taxi you are in the bustling resort town of Praia do Forte famous for its Sea Turtle Sanctuary, Whale Watch tours and 5***** Tivoli Eco Resort.  Here you'll find banks, Hipermarkets and everything else you may need during your perfect holiday. Salvador Int. Airport is 60km/45min ride over the excellent Estrada de Coco and Linha Verde. 

The city of Salvador de Bahia is a must, especially in the months running up to Carnaval....the Biggest in the World!!

Facilities

For those guests that are a bit reluctant to travel to Brazil we can help you overcome the language barrier. Our great friends Daniel and Michaela from Cacara Travel speak excellent English and Spanish. Michaela is also fluent in German. They are extremely helpful and can help you organize your transfer to/from the Airport, renting a car and all possible tours you can make in the vicinity. Many of our guests became friends with them and they are the perfect guides for your surfing, kayaking, mountain biking, snorkeling and whale watching plans!

Events

Carnaval and New Year (Reveillon) Are the absolute highlights of Brazil's agenda. High season run's from november till march. april-june is official rainy season, but year around you'll experience plenty of sun and comfortable temperatures.

Transport

Salvador International Airport has direct connections to Lisbon (daily flights with TAP), Madrid (2 flights a week on Air Europa), Frankfurt (weekly Condor flight), Miami (daily on American Airlines) and Buenos Aires. (daily on Aerolineas Argentinas).

(Of course we personally recommend you to fly KLM/Air France via Rio or Sao Paolo:)

Besides that there are numerous connections to Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, Recife, Natal, Fortaleza, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte on GOL, Avianca, TAM and Azul Airlines.

From the airport it is very easy to rent a car, all major rental companies are represented. A taxi to our house will be ca 60E a transfer organized by us a little less. Besides that there is an excellent bus connection with the city of Salvador and all villages in the vicinity.
